Full Tilt Versus PokerStars
Having played on-line poker for nearly a year I've stood a chance to compare both the largest online poker sites. Both poker sites offer lots of alternatives for MTT (multi-table tournament) poker players. I like both sites. There are a number of small advantages that I see with Full Tilt:
1. Hand Replayer - The software on Full Tilt for replaying past hands is a lot superior on Full Tilt. It is MUCH faster than PokerStars. For some reason on PokerStars you have to click through each card being dealt then antes, etc. It is very cumbersome and takes up energy when attempting to analyze an online poker hand and take notes in your opponents.
2. $2-$3 Tournaments: Sometimes you only feel like playing a tiny field (75-300 players) $2-$3 MTT to have some practice or build your bankroll while minimizing your risk. These are readily available on Full Tilt but are nonexistent on PokerStars. I guess you can just always play a SNG tournament of the similar size on PokerStars making this not only a critical issue.
3. Sizing Tables: On Full Tilt Poker I am able to make a table undertake my entire monitor if I desire. This is great if you are not multi-tabling. I know it is hard to imagine, although not everybody multi-tables continuously. On PokerStars the tables use a fixed width and so are can not fill up my entire widescreen computer monitor.
The last two merchandise is not probably not major issues for many internet poker players, but I do feel that the higher software for replaying previous hands could be a serious problem for a few. I use both sites and definately will keep doing so. Full Tilt and PokerStars are respected inside the online poker industry as evidenced with the huge variety of players playing on each site. Elite poker professionals have associated themselves with each site to lend a little more forward credibility. Both sites give you a full array of game selection and various kinds of poker can be obtained each and every imaginable buy-in level.
For those players not willing to make the leap into playing poker legitimate money, you will find free games available on both platforms. It is a good option to experience totally free in case you are not used to poker. In no-limit hold'em you can easily lose big money quickly through either inexperience of an run of bad luck.
